    About the Internship Opportunity:

    TDS relies on our highly skilled Network Infrastructure Integration team to evaluate network equipment and leading-edge technologies on TDS's combined voice/video/data infrastructure. Team members have a passion for technology and thrive in a fast-paced, high-tech, growth and learning environment. This position is geared towards network engineers seeking work with diverse technologies in order to integrate, validate, and support product initiatives.

    Responsibilities
    • Service Delivery and Support
      • Work with IP, Ethernet, Cable and DSL technology equipment in a state of the art, multi-million dollar lab.
      • Update and create network documentation
      • Install network equipment and build test scenarios in the lab
      • Participate in Operational Readiness projects.
      • Execute test scenarios for new software on network and customer premise equipment.
    • Plan, Build, and Implement
      • Analyze, build and follow processes for lab inventory system
      • Assist in identifying new solutions for test case database and automation
    • Monitor, Evaluate, and Improve
      • Insure monitoring systems are in place for lab equipment.
      • Assist/perform lab problem resolution
    • Align, Plan, Organize
      • Lead and execute efforts associated with maintaining a safe lab environment
      • Assist with constructing the lab to evaluate new voice/video/data network infrastructures.
    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • 1(+) semesters of networking or computer science coursework

    Other Qualifications:

    • Excellent communication skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Must be self-directed and able to complete projects with limited supervision.
    • Team-oriented attitude
    • A schedule that matches the business needs of the role: 12+ minimum hours per week during school year; full-time available during breaks and summer.
    • Knowledge of Visio and MS Office
    • Knowledge/Experience with Networking and Telecommunications Technology
