Job Description:

Norwich University's College of Graduate & Continuing Studies (CGCS) seeks an academic Program Director for its new Master of Science in Accounting degree program. The program will be delivered fully online (via the Moodle learning management system) and is intended to serve a student population of older adults who are already in the workplace and who are seeking either career change or career advancement.

The Program Director will have overall responsibility for the content, quality, assessment, and continuous improvement of the accounting program. The Program Director will:

Oversee the development and revision of courses in both programs;
Hire and supervise a cadre of adjunct instructors to teach the programs' courses;
Hire and supervise course developers,
Conduct assessment of program-level learning outcomes and use the results to improve the programs and related courses;
Seek out and manage experiential learning opportunities for students in the capstone phases of both programs;
Collaborate with faculty in other Norwich Colleges to ensure alignment with on-campus residential programs in related disciplines and to provide all Norwich students with a robust virtual data laboratory experience.

This is a full-time position located in Northfield, Vermont.

The Program Director will report to the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies, CGCS.

The Program Director will be supported by CGCS's Academic Operations Team as well as by other units within the College, including Recruitment/Admissions, Student Advising, and Academic Computing & Instructional Technology.


Requirements:

Earned doctorate in Accounting or related field required; CPA preferred
Minimum two years of post-secondary teaching experience required (preference will be given to candidates with experience in online teaching and learning);
Experience in public- or private-sector accounting preferred;
Experience in program management (including non-academic) preferred;
Eligibility to be appointed to the rank of Assistant Professor/Non-Tenure Track as a Norwich University Professional & Administrative faculty member.
