Burlington Early Education ProgramDESCRIPTION:
The BurlingtonSchool District’s Early Education program is currently in need of a full time para educator to support a child within our integrated preschool classroom. Responsibilities include communication facilitation, carrying out programs designed by the teaching staff, managing behavior, teaching self regulation skills, and supporting and facilitating social engagement with peers. Physical responsibilities include lifting, carrying, personal care, and the ability to assess a situation and respond quickly. Training in Communication Facilitation and experience in Early Childhood is preferred but not mandatory. Training is provided by the program.
Adequate training and/or academic preparation required. Applicants must have 2 years of college level coursework.
As per the Master Agreement between the Burlington Board of School Commissioners and the Paraeducators of the BurlingtonSchool District.
