The Development Coordinator is an essential member of the UVM Health Network Home Health & Hospice Development team.

This role seeks to advance our fundraising efforts by serving as project manager for campaigns and fundraising projects, supporting events including marketing and logistics, supporting grant research and tracking, and developing materials.

The Development Coordinator is a close collaborator with other members of the Development team, the Health Network Development team, the Communications and Engagement team, and others throughout the organization. This role works closely with and reports to the Director of Development.

Experience:

  • Two years work experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills in planning and organization have been acquired
  • Relevant experience in fundraising, nonprofit administration or event organization would be preferred but not required
  • Grant writing experience a plus but not necessary

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Performance Standards:

  • Plan, coordinate and execute special fundraising and engagement events, including recruiting and supporting event volunteers, preparing and implementing marketing and communications plans, creating and implementing corporate sponsorship strategies, managing budgets, and maintaining clear and organized documentation.
  • Maintain highly organized grant tracking documentation, research new grant and foundation giving opportunities, and support Director of Development in developing grant proposals.
  • Serve as primary Corporate Giving lead for department, maintaining relationships with current business partners and seeking new relationships
  • Manage Town and City Funding process and strategy, including submitting engaging funding requests, developing impact reports, tracking and managing 1:1 meetings with town leadership, and tracking year over year performance.
  • Provide project management for organization's Grateful Patient / Family program, maintaining materials, managing data and assisting in project implementation.
  • Serve as lead project manager for a variety of projects and events, including developing and maintaining timelines, communicating with external vendors and coordinating internal staff as needed.
  • Works closely with Development and Communications teams and others throughout the organization to develop materials and communications.
  • Responsible for high level of organization of project-specific documents, materials and timelines.
  • Manage projects of various scales and with various timelines concurrently, demonstrating superb ability to multi-task.
  • Serve as active and engaged member of the Home Health & Hospice Development team and the UVM Health Network Development Shared Services team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
