Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Support and perform electrical and mechanical maintenance including PMs on Facility and Production Equipment.

  • Coordinate machine down time for maintenance with Production personnel to minimize interruptions to manufacturing.

  • Troubleshoot control (PLCs/HMIs) systems for new installations, modifications of production and facility equipment.

  • Develop skills with PC's, PLC's, HMI's and CAD system.

  • Follow standard safety procedures, correct safety and environmental hazards and report them to appropriate supervisor.

  • Prepare appropriate material requisitions for assigned projects and general repairs.

  • Complete inventory transactions on spare parts and MRO supplies to maintain inventory levels.

  • Organize time and priorities between equipment or facility repairs and projects.

  • Contact and direct other associates and outside contractors to complete emergency repairs and/or projects.

  • Complete mechanical maintenance and repair of equipment as required based on skill level.

  • Requires flexibility and understanding that all maintenance staff may be required to perform duties outside their normal area of expertise to meet the mission and goals of the Maintenance Department.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

  • Two year technical degree and two years' experience or minimum of five years of experience working as an electrical/mechanical technician in a production environment. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.

  • Must possess applicable knowledge of using a computer, Microsoft programs, email, paper filing, power hand tools, hand tools, and test instruments. A basic understanding of HVAC units, hydraulics, pneumatics, refrigerant gauges, vacuum pumps and refrigeration recovery equipment. Must understand and adhere to Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as government regulations.
