We are seeking a few skilled and experienced Wastewater / CIP Technicians to join our team. As a WW/CIP Tech, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper treatment and disposal of wastewater in compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsible for Wastewater Treatment and Clean in Place (CIP). Sampling and testing of wastewater; operating light to heavy equipment. Equipment may be CIP'd if a cleaning solution can be brought into contact with the surface(s) to be cleaned using spray heads or flooding. Flooded systems are normally agitated by hydraulic or mechanical means. Examples of equipment cleaned via CIP are tanks, piping systems, filter housings, ductwork, conveyors, homogenizers, centrifugal separators, and heat exchangers. All daily tasks that require knowledge of treatment plant equipment including sanitation and procedures with CIP Cleaning systems, with minimal guidance and supervision.


FOCUS: pH, Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), dairy waste treatment and pretreatment methods, lab considerations, glassware analytical tests, pumping and basic electrical.

Requirements

The ideal candidate must have strong attention to detail and accuracy, personal qualities of tact and dependability, possess good manual dexterity, vision abilities (close, distance color and ability to focus), able to push/pull/lift and carry, able to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and 100 pounds with assistance, and movements (e.g. twisting, gripping, lifting, bending, reaching).

Electrical and mechanical repair on production and utility equipment, ability to read blueprints, equipment manuals and written instructions are required. Must acquire within 6 months, and maintain, a Dairy Wastewater II Operator Certification. Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) are preferred.


SQF REQUIREMENTS

  • Maintain food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner.
  • Required to wear food safety/sanitation clothing.
  • This position necessitates conformance to personal hygiene regulations.
  • Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
  • Ensure all programs are being upheld and documentation is current.

Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to decipher formulas.


Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.


We have two shifts available: 6pm to 6am or 6am to 6pm
