In this role you will provide technical support for Husky computer users in North and South America. This position will require occasional shift work of weekday and weekday afternoons, plus occasional on-call weekend/evenings.

Support is provided to a mainly campus-based workforce and includes supporting all hardware, software, networks and peripheral equipment. As part of the Corporate IT Helpdesk team, you will be expected to display initiative in developing new and innovative technical solutions.

You require the ability to analyze existing call patterns, identify common problems and take ownership to ensure that the escalation process is adhered to.

In support of our mission you will:

  • Be in a Tier 1/ 2 support position directly interacting with users calling and fielding IT support tickets escalated in the incident management system.
  • First level troubleshooting on all incidents.
  • Support Hotline phone incidents.
  • Detailed troubleshooting and documentation, including steps taken to resolve issue, awareness of limitations with current access/knowledge and escalation/collaboration to (with) a tier 2/3 support level team.
  • Providing detailed resolution and if necessary, training to the end user.
  • Be asked to occasionally provide IT project based resource time.
  • User administration in Active Directory, RSA and Microsoft Exchange.
  • On-Prem corporate Conferencing workshop/meeting support.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-3 years' experience in a technical support role
  • College Diploma from an IT program
  • Industry designations (A+, Network+, Security+, MCSE or MCP) are considered favorable
  • Self-motivated, strong initiative, integrity, team player
  • Customer service training
  • Demonstrated strong technical troubleshooting abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with:

-Windows 7/ Windows 10 troubleshooting

-Microsoft O365 use and troubleshooting

-Active directory administration

-RSA administration

-Cisco Finesse operations

-SCCM operations

-Advanced networking / troubleshooting
